Minimum Requirements

Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, learners will:
Pharmacy Support
- Assist with the sale of Schedule 1 medicines.
- Assist with medicine preparation and compounding.
- Accurately interpret prescriptions.
- Support medication dispensing processes.
- Assist with medicine packaging and labelling.
Stock Control
- Receive dispensary stock.
- Monitor medicine expiry dates.
- Maintain stock levels.
- Organise dispensary shelves.

Customer Service
- Follow up with patients regarding prescriptions.
- Assist with patient enquiries.
- Support call centre and pharmacy telephone services.
- Provide health promotion information to customers.
Administrative Support
- Assist with chronic medication authorisations.
- Support HIV, AIDS, and oncology medication processes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Follow pharmacy standard operating procedures.
