Job Summary
The IT Technician will provide first-line and second-line technical support to users across the business. The role includes maintaining IT infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting network connectivity, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services.
Successful candidates will work both remotely and on-site, assisting employees with technical issues while supporting the company’s IT systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Provide first-line and second-line technical support to end users.
- Assist users remotely and on-site.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Deliver excellent customer service and user support.
Hardware and Software Management
- Install and configure desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades.
- Repair and troubleshoot IT equipment.
- Support software installations and updates.
Network Support
- Configure and troubleshoot wired and wireless network connections.
- Assist with LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
- Support network infrastructure maintenance.
IT Asset Management
- Assist with IT equipment deployment.
- Maintain asset inventory records.
- Support branch and site visits when required.
User Administration
- Set up equipment and user accounts for new employees.
- Provide onboarding support.
- Deliver basic training and guidance on IT systems and applications.
Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain accurate technical documentation.

- Ensure compliance with IT policies and security requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Matric / Grade 12
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- CompTIA Network+ Certification
- 1–3 years of experience in an IT support environment
Advantageous Qualifications
The following certifications will be beneficial:
- CompTIA Security+
- Ubiquiti Certification (UBWS or equivalent)
