Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
- Possess a Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Have completed a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree, National Diploma, or Honours qualification in one of the following fields:
- Commerce
- Accounting
- Information Technology
- Clinical Medical Associate
- Bachelor of Nursing Science (BCur)
- Data Science
- Mathematics and Statistics
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Be fluent in English (additional South African languages will be advantageous).
- Demonstrate professionalism, strong administrative abilities, and good time management skills.
- Not currently be employed or participating in another internship programme.
- Possess basic computer literacy and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Interns will gain exposure to:
- Medical aid correspondence and member communication.
- Claims assessment processes.
- Member subscriptions and administration.
- Clinical administration functions.
- Underwriting and new member applications.
- Various operational and business support functions.
- Formative and summative assessments throughout the programme.
- Customer service and stakeholder engagement as PPSHA ambassadors.
